How do I add a counter to my web site?

Adding a counter to your web site is easy! myshophosting has easy to use counter functions built in.

The first step in adding a counter to your web site is to retrieve the counter code from the cPanel.

If you are unsure how to log into the cPanel please see this FAQ.

Once you are logged into the cPanel click the cgi center icon:

Now click the 'Counter' option. A screen similar to this will be displayed:

To create your counter code, set the various options such as Style and then click the Preview button to preview your counter:

When you are happy with the look of your counter click the 'HTML' button. The cPanel will create your new counter and display the HTML code for your counter at the bottom of the screen:

Copy the code into the clipboard (select the entire code and then right click and select 'copy').

Now that you have the counter code in the clipboard memory you need to paste it into the Counter section of ezimerchant Professional. From the main screen in ezimerchant Professional click the 'Add New Pages to your Web Site' option:

Select the 'Home Page' then click the 'Properties' tab below and then Paste the clipboard contents into the Footer/Counter Code section.. You should now see your counter code as demonstrated below:

Click the 'Close' button to return to the ezimerchant Professional main screen.

To make your counter live you must generate and upload your web site. After you have completed uploading your web site you should see the counter at the bottom of your home page.

Note: Your counter will not appear in the generated web site. It will only appear after you have uploaded the web site to the myshophosting web server.
